MCP server + REST API
Answer Socrates runs a hosted MCP server — the open standard that lets AI assistants use real tools — plus a straightforward REST API for your own scripts and automations. Connect once and your assistant can discover rising topics, compare Google Trends across whole baskets of keywords, pull hundreds of real search phrases for any term, and save it all into your projects.
Included in Pro plans and above.
Name a space and your assistant maps it: what's breaking out, what's seasonal, what's fading. Real output from a test session:
get_rising_topicsget_trends ×12
Over the last 12 months, the big movers are clear whey +190%, creatine gummies +94% — a real format shift, not hype — electrolytes +63% and magnesium glycinate +62%. Classic whey is resurging (+64%) while ashwagandha is the only decliner (−5%) — that trend has peaked.
In the rising searches, Nutricost whey is up +1,850% and two brands hit Breakout. Almost everything peaks in April — publish by March to catch the crest. Want me to pull the full keyword set for creatine gummies? (1 request)
One request returns everything people actually type — grouped and counted. Real numbers from the same session:
get_keywordssave_to_project
1,187 keywords for creatine gummies: 160 Questions (“are creatine gummies as effective as powder” asked five different ways — pure format skepticism), 166 Comparisons, 81 Prepositions, 30 time-based and 750 autocomplete phrases.
Saved to Supplements — your team can see the full list in the app now. Want them as a CSV too? That's free.
Feed it a topic and get the related searches that are breaking out right now — Google's own rising data, Breakouts included, next to the established top queries. The fastest way to find sub-topics you didn't know existed.
12-month interest-over-time for any keyword, any country. Your assistant compares whole baskets of terms in one go and ranks what's climbing, what's seasonal and what's fading.
Everything people search around a term in one request — Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons and the raw a–z autocomplete list. Usually 500–900 real search phrases per pull.
Save any keyword list straight into your Answer Socrates projects, so research done in a chat shows up in the app for your whole team. Free — along with listing and creating projects.
Ask “how many requests do I have left?” any time. Checking your plan and quota never costs a request.

Just ask
Your assistant introduces the tools itself. Try “what's rising in my niche?” — or run the built-in keyword_research and website_research commands.
The API and MCP run on their own request allowance — separate from your in-app searches, and built for automation. One flat rule: every data call costs 1 request. Usage checks, project tools and exports never cost anything.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Yearly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Seneca | 500 /mo | 6,000 /yr |
| Aurelius | 2,500 /mo | 30,000 /yr |
| Senate | 25,000 /mo | 300,000 /yr |
Team plans share one pooled allowance across all seats. Yearly billing grants the full year's allowance up front.
